N.Sembilan exco line-up will be announced soon - Aminuddin

KUALA PILAH, May 12 (Bernama) -- The Negeri Sembilan state executive council (exco) line-up will be announced in a very near future, said the newly-appointed Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun.

Aminuddin, who is Sikamat assemblyman, said the selection of the state exco members was still being discussed at the moment.

"We will maintain the number of exco members just like in the previous term. Their appointment will be made very soon," he told reporters after taking his oath of office as Menteri Besar at Istana Seri Menanti here today.

Aminuddin also hoped that the people would give their full support to the new state council line-up as the benchmark set by the previous leadership was good.

"Honestly, we recognise the outstanding performance of the previous menteri besar in developing Negeri Sembilan.

"Whatever is good for the people, we will continue to implement it and make improvements," he explained.

He said the new state government would also ensure that all the promises made in the Pakatan Harapan manifesto would be fulfilled as soon as possible.

'We want a clean government, no corruption, misconduct and abuse of power," he said.

Meanwhile, Aminuddin, who is also Negeri Sembilan PKR chairman, said the party would continue seeking justice concerning the incident at Rantau state constituency on the April 28 nomination day.

"We will continue with the case and if the court allows, there will be a state by-election in Rantau," he added.
