Musa denies has resigned as CM of Sabah





KOTA KINABALU, May 12 (Bernama) --Tan Sri Musa Aman has denied that he has resigned after being newly appointed as Chief Minister of Sabah.

Musa also said none of his newly appointed State Cabinet members had resigned.

"Let me put it on record that neither I nor any members of the State Cabinet have resigned. In fact, I just chaired the first State Cabinet meeting after the just concluded general election," he said in a statement here tonight.

Musa was responding to various statements in social media and the mainstream media claiming that he had resigned from his chief ministership.

Musa, who is the state Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, and his state cabinet members were sworn in to their respective posts at Istana Negeri on May 10 after BN and Solidariti Tanah Airku party agreed to form a coalition government with 31 seats, which gave them a simple majority in the 60-seat state assembly.
