Jasin PKR lodges police report over missing 'japerun' items
JASIN, May 13 (Bernama)-- Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) today lodged a police report on the theft of materials and equipment at several state-owned buildings in this district.
Jasin PKR branch Deputy Chief Azmi Khamis said the incidents allegedly occurred after the announcement of Pakatan Harapan's (PH) victory state in the 14th General Election (GE14) on May 9.
He said the loss of things and equipment from several buildings of the Coordinating Committee of the Legislative Assembly (Japerun) and the town hall was very disappointing.
"The incident occurred as early as 4am on May 10, after the counting of votes. They began removing items from the buildings (Japerun) and the town hall. I understand they were acting on the orders of their leader," he said when met at the Jasin District police headquarters (IPD).
Among the items allegedly stolen were air conditioners, chairs, desks, cabinets and computers.
Azmi also claimed that various items were believed to have gone missing in state-buildings in several other locations like Bemban, Rim, Sungai Rambai, Merlimau and Serkam.
Meanwhile, Jasin District police chief DSP Arshad Abu when contacted confirmed receiving the report.
