Pakatan does not practise politics of vengeance - Fuziah
KUANTAN, May 13 (Bernama) -- Pakatan Harapan (PH) will not practise politics of vengeance against the Barisan Nasional (BN) or its supporters, said Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh.
She said any changes made after this would be enjoyed by all Malaysians and she herself would continue to serve regardless of the party's stand.
"PH's victory is a victory of the people and my own work is growing heavier, but I'm not worried because I'm used to working as an opposition for the last 10 years even though I was denied the right for an allocation.
"We don't practice politics of revenge. We toppled BN because of their wrong doings and took over because we love the country and wanted to free it from the clutches of corruption and debts," she said at a Thanksgiving gathering at Padang Kamunting here, today.
Fuziah, who champions issues related to the welfare of women and the environment, described PH's victory in 14th general election on May 9th, as the victory of mothers who do not want to see their children irk out a living in a debt-ridden country.
On rumours that her name was being highlighted to hold a post at the federal level, Fuziah said she was not lobbying but left it to the top leadership to decide.
Meanwhile, the PKR Teruntum assemblyman, Sim Chon Siang called on residents in the area to reprimand him if he failed to fulfill his responsibilities.
Sim said, as a trusted representative of the people, he was determined to use the next five years to resolve as many of the people's problems as possible.
"If I am arrogant, please admonish me. If I do a good job, praise me... but if I make a mistake or do wrong admonish me. We are not like UMNO which cannot be reprimanded," he said at the same Thanksgiving function attended by Fuziah and about 2,000 residents.
