List of NS executive council members to be known next week
SEREMBAN, May 15 (Bernama) -- The list of the Negeri Sembilan state executive council members will be announced next week, said the newly appointed Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun.
However he said the date has yet to be fixed.
"God willing, next week we will be appointing the executive council members and I hope the people of Negeri Sembilan will be patient," he told a media conference at Wisma Negeri here today.
Aminuddin, 51, who is also Sikamat assemblyman, said the allocation for executive council members was in accordance with the composition of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) component parties, which is now at the final stage of negotiations.
The state Pakatan Harapan chairman and state PKR chairman said he would have an audience with the Negeri Sembilan Yang Dipertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir to seek his consent after the list of executive council members is finalised.
"The important thing is that the appointed executive council members can work to ensure that our goals in the Negeri Sembilan manifesto can be implemented while any plans of the previous government that are good will be continued and improved," he said.
Aminuddin took his oath of office as the new Menteri Besar at the Istana Besar Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah on Saturday and began his official duties yesterday.
In the GE14, PH won 20 out of the 36 state seats in Negeri Sembilan defeating the Barisan Nasional (BN).
