Amanah candidates for Cabinet posts party's top leaders - Mat Sabu

SHAH ALAM, May 15 (Bernama) -- The list of three names from Amanah proposed for consideration for Cabinet posts are the party's top leaders, said Amanah president Mohamad Sabu.
Mohamad Sabu, better known as Mat Sabu, said the list of names was sent yesterday to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and it was now up to him to decide which ministries they would go to.
"The Prime Minister asked for three names from Amanah (to fill ministerial posts) and I sent it yesterday."
"The list comprises Amanah's top leaders after me," he told reporters after attending a thanksgiving feast for the party's machinery in the 14th general election in Kota Raja here tonight.
On Saturday, Dr Mahathir had named DAP secretary -general Lim Guan Eng as Finance Minister, PPBM president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as Home Minister and Mat Sabu as Defence Minister.
Dr Mahathir is expected to announce the names of seven other ministers in his initial Cabinet of 10 ministers very soon.
