KUCHING, May 16 (Bernama) -- Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) president Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg said the party's position in Barisan Nasional (BN) will be determined after consultations with the three other components in Sarawak BN namely SUPP, PRS and PDP.

Abang Johari, who is also Sarawak Chief Minister, also hinted about the formation of a 'united coalition of Sarawak-based parties' to look after the interests of the people of Sarawak.

"Yes I did not mention about BN but I did mention about a 'united coalition of Sarawak-based parties' as our platform and I have to consult with our Sarawak-based partners.

"Leaving BN? Its up to you to interpret but I have to consult my other component parties in BN, in other words, we (PBB) will review our position after consulting with the other component parties," he said.

The Sarawak BN chairman was speaking at a press conference after a meeting of PPB's Supreme Council that last almost three hours here today.
