Mohd Amar Kelantan Deputy MB for second term

KOTA BHARU, May 16 (Bernama) -- Panchor state assemblyman Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah was sworn in today as the Deputy Menteri Besar of Kelantan for the second term in the Kelantan PAS government.
He took his oath of office before the Regent of Kelantan, Dr Tengku Muhammad Faiz Petra, at Istana Kota Lama. Also present was Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob who was sworn in as the head of the state administration on May 10.
Nine state assemblymen, four of them new faces, were also sworn in as state executive councillors today.
The five reappointed elected representatives are Datuk Dr Mohamed Fadzli Hassan (Temangan); Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud (Meranti); Datuk Hanifa Ahmad (Pengkalan Pasir); Datuk Md Anizam Ab Rahman (Kemahang); and Mumtaz Md Nawi (Demit).
The four new faces are Tuan Saripuddin Tuan Ismail (Selising); Azami Mohd Nor (Kadok); Dr Izani Husin (Kijang); and Wan Roslan Wan Hamat (Pengkalan Kubor).
Ahmad, who was approached after the ceremony, said the portfolios of the councillors and deputy councillors would be announced over the next few days.
PAS, which has governed Kelantan for 28 years, won 37 of the 45 seats in the state legislative assembly in the general election on May 9.
The BN won the remaining eight seats.
