JOHOR BAHRU, May 16 (Bernama) -- The Johor government now led by Pakatan Harapan (PH) will discuss in detail the implementation and development of the University of Johor in ensuring that the state will continue to produce an educated society.

Newly-appointed State Islamic Religious Affairs and Education Committee chairman Aminolhuda Hassan said the matter would be further refined at the forthcoming executive council meeting as it was one of the main elements Johor PH's manifesto.

"We will implement this in five years as we have promised in our manifesto whereby the University of Johor will not only offer certificates at diploma but also degree levels.

"We will also bring it to the federal level for its establishment," he told reporters after attending the Teacher's Day Celebration at Sultan Abu Bakar College, here today.
