Wan Azizah starts work as DPM




PUTRAJAYA, May 22 (Bernama) --Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail today commences her duty as Deputy Prime Minister.

She arrived at the Deputy Prime Minister's office in Bangunan Perdana Putra here at 10am and was received by the Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa and staff of the Prime Minister's Department.

Upon her arrival, she proceeded to scan in for duty.

After that, she signed the commencement of duty letter and proceeded to attend a special briefing by Ali Hamsa.

Dr. Wan Azizah, 66, was appointed Deputy Prime Minister after Pakatan Harapan won the 14th general election and she also became the first woman Deputy Prime Minister in Malaysia.
