Government understands people's concerns - Rina
PUTRAJAYA, May 31 (Bernama) -- The government understands the people's concerns and will always prioritise their needs, especially the community in the rural areas, said Rural Development Minister Rina Mohd Harun.
She said the government was open to accepting views from the community to ensure the best service could be provided through a competent, efficient and trustworthy administration system.
"Through this new administration, we have to work hard to tackle the challenges in implementing programmes and projects more than ever," she said at the breaking-of-fast event at the ministry here today.
As the first female minister in charge of Rural Development Ministry, Rina also called for cooperation from all ministry's staff and its nine agencies.
"The responsibility to lead the ministry is very challenging, so I hope for cooperation and agreement among us as the people want to see what has been promised will be fulfilled," she said.
At the event Rina also presented Aidilfitri contribution to 35 orphans from Baitul Ehsan Al-Khairi Association, Kuala Lumpur.
