Salleh to assume duties of Sabah UMNO Liaison Chief - Ahmad Zahid
KOTA KINABALU, June 4 (Bernama) -- Deputy Sabah UMNO Liaison Chief Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak will be assuming the duties of Sabah UMNO Liaison chief, party Vice-President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced.
Ahmad Zahid, who is assuming the duties of UMNO president, said the matter was decided during his meeting with Sabah UMNO leaders here today.
"We are sure that (Sabah UMNO Liaison chief) Tan Sri Musa Aman will be focusing more on the legal issues he is facing, especially the petition (on his status as Sabah Chief Minister).
"This is the main decision made at the meeting today," he told reporters here.
The Sabah Police were still in the midst of tracking down Musa to record his statement on the allegations of criminal intimidation made by Sabah Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.
Musa had also filed a lawsuit seeking a declaration that he is the rightful Sabah Chief Minister.
